It will all be ok in the end...
It will all be ok in the end...
Some say John Lennon said this, some say not...but regardless of who said it, I believe it.
I look back at my worst days of active addiction, of pain and loss, or fear, when I thought that things would never change...and I realise looking back that they did change and give way to something better.
Things very rarely turned out the way I thought they might, but they always turned out in the end.
Have faith and stay strong guys...keep moving forward, keep doing the next right thing...we'll all get there in the end

Thank you Dee, I love that quote. And thank you for being a remarkable person who helps so many, me included.
Your post reminded me of another quote from Julian of Norwich which is similar and I try and keep it in mind. ''All shall be well, all shall be well and all manner of things shall be well"

In early sobriety our son bought a magnet for the fridge that says this same thing. So true. He marked 13 years day after his 30th birthday in September.
I love the line in Lennon’s song that tells us, “there are no problems, only solutions”. 🌌💙 It’s a challenge to live this simple idea though. Something to strive for each day.

I hope things will start to open up more this next year WL - bringing with it lots of opportunities for those wanting to change/move ahead.

I must admit some of the worst days of my life were withdrawal from alcohol. Physically it wasn’t a major problem, but I remember feeling utter despair thinking that every evening would bring that anxiety and craving. As we all know or will hopefully find out, thankfully things improve within a few weeks.
