Sao, your video in post #39 is a black screen here in the U.S.

It says:

Yes - that was because I left the space between the 2nd YT. If I hadn't then the video would have appeared instead of the text. You would have had the video without the explanation.

I hope that makes sense.

I am happy to report that the doc said everything looked good from my colonoscopy and endoscopy. He did do a couple biopsies just to be safe. Will get those results in a week or so. Fingers crossed. Thank you for all the well wishes. I hope everyone has a good weekend. I for one am looking forward to eating food after 40 hours or so of liquids only. And I am so happy I don't have to drink that horrible prep liquid for another 5 years hopefully.

Glad it all went well CBS.

Sao, I totally understand, as you said in your first lesson. Thank you so much for the reminder🥰

Today, in the house of gratefulness and awe.

Lunch at Oceanside course clubhouse where the 2021 Ryder Cup was played on Kiawah

Grateful can still walk after peddling 25 miles to and from said lunch date on a bicycle.

Glad for warning signs 🤓

YIKES!, the signs weren’t kidding!

😟😁😁😁

CBS I’m pleased all went well. I’ve heard the prep drink is horrible.

Free, great pics. That’s a scary sight! Who’d want to harass an alligator. 😬😬

Free I love Kiawah . I have been there dozens of times thanks to my fil back in the day who hosted family reunions there. We have many fond memories and try to go back occasionally.

CBS, great news that all went well.

Free, great pictures. I don't like the look of that alligator though. It looks like it's lying in wait and ready to attack! Yikes!

That's good news CBS, it should give you peace of mind

Lovely pics Free. That part of the world looks extraordinarily picturesque. I have always wanted to visit since reading In the Garden of Good and Evil.

I hope everyone made it through Friday evening. For any casual reader of this thread who perhaps didn't and would like to, stick around SR for encouragement and info. It is hard to begin with but I was a long term alcoholic and the hard bit, the craving to drink, only lasted around 7-8 weeks. Quite a long 7-8 weeks but it is not eternity.

I am researching the possibility of a ground sourced heat pump for our flats. It will take some time, technically it is quite tricky as there are 24 flats in all but there would be advantages. I would have to convince the others in the block too but my job is sales for an engineering/fabrications company so it should be right up my street. As ever, costs are the key.

Ground sourced heat pump sounds interesting.

Not sure I've ever been to Kiawah. Looks very nice, and should be a good time of year. You could spend half a day visiting the Yorktown and associated museum at Charleston if so inclined.

Wish Kaily and SoberLeigh would check in.

Koala love the cartoon strip.

Saou, be good if you could have ground sourced heat pump. Would the government help with a grant for everyone in the flats.

Thinking of you Leigh and Kaily. xx

That alligator looks like he or she needs to cut back on the marshmallow treats and maybe look into an exercise regiment.

As Eric Cartman would say, maybe he's big boned.

Hi C Koala!

Best wishes to you Leigh! Thanks for letting us know Venuscat.

There are some grants available Mags but much less than was predicted. They are complicated too.

Evening Weekenders. Lots of posts I still have to catch up on.

We eventually had my mother’s memorial service yesterday and all went well. That it took place 4 months after the fact made it a little awkward in a sense, but in another had enabled more reflection than usual to quitely take place. What I mean to say is that instead of asking how we are going to deal with the loss and all the change that comes with it, it is more a case of how well or bad we have been dealing with it thus far.

A few weeks ago I said I would post a few pics of the Jakaranda trees in my city, once they had gotten into bloom. So late yesterday afternoon I did a little trip through the city. One of the pictures shows a rare white Jakaranda tree that as far as I know is found only in a single street in a specific neighborhood.
