New mom in recovery!
Hi my name is Jess. On Oct 15 2021 I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. This is my first child and I'm coming back into recovery as well. I'm 4 days clean. Just looking for support not only in my recovery but as a new mom as well.
Hi, Jess! It's wonderful to have you with us.
Congratulations on the birth of your son. I wish I had stopped drinking when I needed to. I would have handled things so much better. You'll have no regrets.
This is a friendly & helpful place - I was able to quit after decades of dependence thanks to finding SR.

Welcome and congratulations Jess.
I had my 2 babies and entered recovery before
I turned 30 and all between 1980 and 1990.
A stay at home mom and wife who loved wine
who thought I had it all together, when really,
the life inside me was falling apart and dying.
Family stepped in getting me help by placing me
into the hands of those capable of teaching me
about my addiction, substance abuse and a recovery
program to use as a guideline to live by once I
returned home.
That was 30 something yrs ago when I began
my recovery journey in life breaking the chains
of addiction to set me free to enjoy life all to the
best of my human ability.
So many before me paved the path in recovery
leading me by actions, which speaks louder than
words. Words teach us, but to put forth action behind
them is what has helped me to achieve continuous
sobriety and live a healthy life one day at a time.
Support and understanding is huge by being
surrounded by many who have been there, done
many of the same similar things as we have done.
I am grateful to have entered recovery while my
children were small and that I was 30 yrs old. Having
this sober time and a recovery program helped me
pass on some valuable information to my children
to use in their own adult lives and to make good
healthy decision.
They are just that today. Healthy, happy, mature,
amazing adults with families of their own. And for
that, I am truly blessed and grateful.
