Nine months today!

After many years of failed attempts at moderation I am am grateful I finally faced the music and quit drinking entirely nine months ago. All in all it has so far been a very difficult journey, mostly because of PAWS symptoms. But I have lost 30 pounds and kept it off. I am saving lots of money because I was not buying cheap wine and I drank a lot of wine. I really don't miss the daily anxiety before I would have my first glass around 5 pm. I am so grateful I found this site. It has been very helpful to me! So many wise and kind people. As I continue on my journey I hope to provide support to the newcomers. Happy Friday everyone!

Congratulations on 9 months!! You are a week ahead of me. It is so exciting to get to this point. And to think we just got over an entire summer being sober. I too have suffered some episode of PAWS and it's not fun at all. Apparently it gets further and further apart as time goes on.
