Aly, thanks love.

PJ, good to see you back.

Weve had sun this afternoon after a dull start.

Your front garden looks superb Kaily. Good stuff.

freedomfries I second what someone else posted in hoping you told your doctor about your self harming. I hope the visit went well.

Good to see you PJ!

Robbie, I'm sorry you've had a rough time of things recently but those months you had are not wasted, you will still have the benefit of them. Just try and have a bit of a plan to counteract those thought patterns if the reoccur.

I have been to Berwick briefly - a long time ago. I remember the town center/ main street area was very attractive. I hope you get to stay there

yes, Berwick is a lovely town. Right on the border of England and Scotland, it's the most northerly English town and really does feel like it's a part of Scotland than England. The accent is often a strange mixture of Scottish and Northumbrian English. Given it's only about 70 miles away I've suprisingly only been there a small handful of times over the years.

Free, those photos are beautiful. Wonderful open spaces with lovely views. I don't think I would be fit enough to hike a couple of miles let alone 10 miles.

Free2bme - magnificent landscape.

The yellow flower looks like a Toadflax.

Salutations weekender aficionados,

Robbie, I'm glad you're nipping that relapse in the bud. Haveyourself a good holiday.

Free lovely pics. Did you dive into the lake when you arrived ?

I also got to do some hiking last week. This is on the top of the Pic du midi d'Ossau in the pyrenees...

Lovely pics everyone. I will hop on the pic train. This is near where my mother lives in Florida. Nice sunset while we were visiting her last week.

Wow, Free2; gorgeous photos.

What elevation did you achieve in your hike, Vman?

CBS, nice photo; a very familiar sight - palm trees staked in new landscaping.🙂

Yes Leigh. The retirement community where my mom lives unfortunately tore down some sweet little bungalows and built a giant building. And with that came the new landscaping. But the view over Tampa Bay is still beautiful.

Bonjour Leigh,
The summit is at 2884m. Its a 13km and 1300m height difference. I left with my frontal headlamp at 04:30. I usually do that to hike and climb in the freshness of the early morning. I've been climbing that one for over 20 years now. It's very close to my mother in law's village. It's a majestic moment.
Take care
Vinny

This morning we are going for a nice long walk on the beach every bit as enjoyable as climbing a mountain ⛰

Hopefully everyone has a good day 👍

Stay strong Robbie !

Mags did you get the cast off (I'm not up to speed on the last 3 weeks) ?

Vinny, gosh that’s high! You must know the Pyrenees pretty well. Definitely a sober pastime.

CBS, beautiful scene. Love the trees.

Mr. Mags goes in hospital this morning for his gallbladder removed. It’s a day surgery so we’re hoping he can come out later. He can’t lift for at least two weeks after his op so we’re gonna be muddling through for a while, what with my wrist too. He’s been on an 800 calorie diet from the hospital for nearly two weeks and he’s lost loads of weight. He’s happy about it and it’s given him the kick start to carry it on. (Maybe with a few more calories though).

Love to all. Keep safe. xxxx

I'm jealous of all those that go hiking. I was doing regular long 7/8 mile walks a few times a week which I loved. Unfortunately I started having hip problems which I tried to ignore and made it much worse. Now, having lost any fitness I had and often suffering from fatigue, I have to keep my walks shorter.

A bee that seems to be suffering from a pollen addiction. One flower is never enough.

Not my pic.

Fence day! It is giving me anxiety for a million and one reasons. Anyone would think I was going to have brain surgery not a fence erected!

Vinny, now your talking my language. I love walking on the beach.

Yes I got my plaster and wires off. Wearing a splint now. (did you not see my pic of me sporting my new piece of metal jewelry inside my wrist/arm.) ?
