Day 15 and trying to change
The way I think about things, because my brain determines my actions so for me negative thinking needs to bugger off, it's harder than I thought but I will get there as I'm determined to do it, I have an online meeting in a minute can I be bothered no, am I going to do it yes, because I need that in order to keep myself from thinking about poison, anyway have a great happy sober Sunday everyone 👍
Congrats on your progress Mummy and I hope that you have a good meeting. Thankfully our thoughts don't necessarily have to lead to action, so any negative thoughts, or thoughts about poison, can simply be let go, replaced by other thoughts. Keep posting. You're doing great!
Find things to keep yourself occupied and active. Exercise, cooking, yard sales, volunteer, help a neighbor with chores, yoga, meditation, hobbies, pets etc. Make a schedule for yourself if needed.
The lockdown was hard on people. Getting outside is a big help for me. Get your mind off thinking about something other than not drinking. If you let your mind just worry about not drinking it’s harder.
For me sitting eating chips and watching TV will let my mind wander to hey maybe I could go to the pub and see my old buddies.
Instead we need to say at 5 PM I’m going to the gym or walking in the park and then dinner, then zoom AA meeting etc.

Good work on the introspection and doing the meetings even when you’d prefer not. Have fun at the stadium! I’m off to yoga with my hubs and then the nearby farmers market. Staying productive leaves less time for trouble.
