4749 Days (13 Years) today
13 years sober today. Best decision I ever made was to get sober. If you are just starting, PLEASE keep going. You won't regret it. Every day of sober is 1000 times better than day high or drunk.
Congratulations. I was just thinking of you on another thread where someone was having a hard time with the angst feeling. I remember venting to you about 8 years ago via DM about my husband. You supported me when I was having meltdown so thank you. I think I may have been close to drinking that night.

Congratulations! It took me a long time to make sense of the saying: "My worst day sober is better than my best day drinking." What I've come to understand is that, for a drunk like me, there is no such thing as a drink without hellish consequences (sooner or later). When I remember that, I can say that I wholeheartedly concur.
And, as many of my friends like to say with a wink when anyone celebrates an anniversary -- regardless of how many years: Now the work starts While it's funny, it's also true. We either grow or we go.
God bless!

Wow, Leana! Amazing!
As a mere newcomer (31 months), I’m always curious how long termers feel. Do you ever get any cravings for alcohol at all? There must’ve been huge changes for the better too. I’m always bragging about myself (it makes me cringe, but a lot of good stuff’s happened), so it’d be interesting to hear your story 🙂
