Another Sober Birthday :)
While it feels odd to be in my "late 40s," my body feels very much in line w/ its age 
. Having a great day already. Took a "vacation day" (but of course I'm still logging in to keep projects moving... workaholic habits die hard 
). I did a bunch of yard work this morning. Hung out with my kids and niece/nephew. And tonight I'm cooking up some walleye from my last fishing trip for my parents/grandma and brother's family.
I know I'm still young in recovery, but damn it feels good to be sober this long, not have to plan the whole weekend around a "birthday hangover," and to have my AV be this quiet. What a blessing, seriously. Thanks to y'all for all the support the last 10+ years.
I used to be ashamed of posting here, now it's something I'm very much proud of. I'm proud to be a member of this incredible, supportive community. Stay well, friends!

Good for you Evoo - it sounds like you have a lovely day planned and I get how freeing it is not to have to plan things around being so ill with alcohol.
