Holiday thread...
YES GABE. Keep going. I hope you can hear me cheering loudly for you from the United States, lol. Stuff like that is difficult to navigate but you had a plan and allowed yourself to leave when you needed to and were able to get thru it. Bravo.
Just make sure you also are prepared for life's doldrums (is that spelled right?) when you get back from your holiday. If you use these tools you've been using, you will be just fine. . Again, can't express how freakin happy I am that you are working through these things.

Thank you everyone ❤️
I'm feeling pretty exhausted now. It's taken a lot of effort to stay focused and watch my thinking, but I'm really proud of myself!
There have been SO many benefits of the last couple of weeks and I'm really grateful for the sober time I have had here. I've eaten way to much cake, sweets and chocolate but it was necessary! Need to clean up my diet when I get home though.
Last day tomorrow. I really appreciate all the support you've given me to manage these last couple of weeks. Thank you!

Gabe - It's wonderful the way you handled this. I was always so encouraged when I made it through these challenges. I believe you will be stronger for it.
Thank you for sharing the good news with us.

You are completely right Hev - making my way through the last couple of weeks has really boosted my confidence and it's been really good for our relationship too!
Going home tomorrow and I am so pleased to say I've been sober every step of the way! Thanks so much everyone for the encouragement and support.
It's not been easy but it also feels like a snippet of managing real life day to day. Ups and downs, a few tears, a couple of disagreements, I wasn't
well for a couple of days and was really stressed.
But it was also a lot of fun! Great food and loads of rest. Seeing people I love and feeling inspired by the scenery and environment. Having time to reflect.
Oh, and eating loads of ice cream and puddings!
I think I might have finally figured out how to do this and how to live without alcohol.
It's been exactly four years since I joined here. It's taken me that long to understand and change things, internally and externally.
At 31 days I don't feel elated or manic. I feel real. That is a very good indication of where I am in life ❤️
