Hello,

I like the work of Elvin Morton JELLINEK, the disease concept of alcoholism.
I found his 4 phases and 45 symptoms to be the best description of how I was when i was an active alcoholic...
Here is some reading, the 45 symptoms is a google translate, the best site i found was in french :

45 Symptoms

I love when folks paraphrase/directly quote addiction books/therapy. I have used this as a tool to not relapse.

I purchased the audio book on CD, "From Panic to Power." It helped me to use/get used to the normalization process addicts must suffer through to get and stay this clean.

Thanks.

Not exactly quit lit but Stephen King discusses his alcoholism, addictions, and his recovery journey in his book "On Writing". It was the inspiration for me to quit drinking. I re-read it often.
