Went to an ENT doctor cause of having a lot of pain in my right nostril. Hoping he can easily fix it and move on. Well, it turns out that although it is a possibly that it might me cancer, it's possible. So, I'm scheduled to see a neurologist to get some brain scans done. First there's prostrate cancer, now this.
Can't complain though. With all the damage I've done to my body with alcohol and drugs ; it's amazing I've lived this long. It's a miracle I'm still here. So many times in ICU's, hospitals, psych wards, treatment centers. I'm 70 now and was hoping to make it to my 80's. If I don't, that's ok .Had a full life. Many don't make it that far, so I've done well. Nothing I regret other than the people I didn't treat right. Hopefully, I have made some amends for the wrongs I've done. Not a god person, but spiritual person.John

Sorry to hear that John, I know it's stressful to sit around waiting and wondering.....I guess try and not pre-self diagnose yourself with something dire...Hang in there my friend

I'm never going to forget your post. It's the kind of attitude I want for myself but I'm so afraid of getting sick and dying...so is the hubby. I just love your attitude because what is the point in fearing death? Your wisdom shines through, my friend.

I'm sorry John, stuff like this is worrying but you haven't got the results back yet....it's an imponderable. Ponder on a good outcome John. Wait for results in good positive mind.

As we age thoughts of death arise no matter what....it normal....reflection is good. But stay in the moment of life, now. It's a good life now you are sober. You are able to deal with things in sober, human mind. We really are all in the same boat John. Rise above it best you can until results are in.

I really hope your results come back showing concern was unwarranted. It happens all the time. It can happen for you.

I had a brain scan done before for some reason I don't remember why and they found nothing there. lol. Always new there was just empty space between my ears but they didn't believe me. Will probably find the same. Just wind going through one ear and out the other. Maybe that's why my hearing is going. lol. John

John, I understand your health anxieties. I’ll be 72 and am in a hold pattern for more tests on one of my issues.. It seems as if every time I see a doctor, something else crops up. As you pointed out, “This is getting old”. I admire your attitude and strength in continuing your sober journey despite your health scares and concerns. I will be praying that all turns out well for you. 🤗
