A penguin chick at London’s Aquarium. How cute.

Morning all!

Happy Birthday Samantha!

Kaily, I'll post in your thread but I do hope the issues with your neighbours do get resolved soon.

I've got to head out soon and it's raining quite heavily outside. Looks like it's going to be a kind of day.

Dustyfox, we could probably fill a 5 gallon bucket with all the legos from when my kid was small. Another of the things that no one wants to give away because of sentimental reasons.

When I see a really big alligator, or a really big shark, it seems to call for reassessment of my place in the food chain. The gators usually mind their own business like SoberLeigh said.

Robbie, congrats on 5 months.

Hey don't ever get complacent about alligators they have wounded and killed a lot of people in Florida. There was a guy not to long ago in my town had his arm ripped off by one. It grabbed his arm went into a death roll and popped his arm right off and ate it....Also there was another attack on a golf ball diver at a country club that was attacked and almost killed.

I do NOT miss the critters in Florida, even though I'm a big fan of critters. I lived in FLA for 17 years and saw way too many animals that would gladly eat me for dinner - or at least kill me and then find out I was too big to swallow,

Robbie, well done on that five months. I know you wanted it! At about six months was the last time I had any kind of serious desire to drink. It was pretty intense at about a week before my six months' day. Obviously I won, but barely.

It's going to break records for heat here for the next several days. Fingers crossed the refrigerator continues to work and that the cat (and I) survive.

Is it Samantha's AND Leigh's birthday? Double dipper!

Afternoon everyone. I’m a bit late joining but definitely IN FOR ANOTHER SOBER WEEKEND!

I heard it’s International Impersonators’ Day, but then again it might just be a hoax.

You are so right, Boondock. Cohabitating with alligators means giving them a very wide berth and absolutely NOT feeding them.

CaptainHaddock - I love your new avatar.

Kaily, I will see you on your new thread.

It does look pink from normal computer-viewing distance. I had to move my eyes closer and then it appears more orange.

LOL! You really wouldn't want to be me today. I made a mistake at work and one of my co-workers has relished informing our entire workforce of it (I am always complaining about other people's errors)

Thank God it's hometime, I couldn't take much more.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEIGH!

I think that this has been linked here before but my grandkids thought this was funny; I showed it to them after they said our vintage was lame:

We went to the Watusi cCafe for lunch. I told them that the Watusi was a dance and showed them this:

Sao, that is very inconsiderate of your co-worker. He made the much bigger mistake.
