So confused

I guess you need to be sober to use this forum, or perhaps an engineer. I have no idea what I'm doing or what I'm posting or where. I'm just looking for help or someone to talk to that may understand why I'm here.

The newcomers forum is the busiest, so you posted in the right place to get support.

What's on your mind?

You've come to the right place.
What's up?

I'm here because I wanted to quit drinking alcohol.
It's working for me so far.

Hello Charlie, glad you're here.

Tell us a bit about what's going on - there will probably be lots of us here who can relate.

We're here to support you

Welcome charlie. If you are having issues with alcohol, you’ve come to a great place for support. You needn’t be sober to use the forum or post here. I suspect that sustained sobriety may be your goal. I encourage you to share and have a look around.

You don't have to be sober to use the forum Charlie, all you need is a desire to stop drinking alcohol. Get the help you need, here.

I'd guess that's the reason you're here. I've been sober for 18 months now and best decision I could have made. And I'm not an engineer.

I hope you keep posting.

Welcome.

There is only one judge and he is not me.

The door to freedom is cracked open when folks find this forum.

It saved my life.

Thanks.

Hi Charlie and welcome to SR. This place has been a life saver for me. When I finally quit for good, it all came down to staying connected with the way I felt on the first day I quit. There are many many things you can do to achieve sobriety. Most of us try to develop some type of plan for dealing with the urge to drink. It's a really good place to start for many.

Stay close!
