100 Day Marker
Hi all
I just racked up 100 days sober this past weekend (Sunday).
I tend to observe from the sidelines and don’t post that frequently - but I sincerely value the content and sharing that this community provides. Thank you all.
I’ve been up and down - but I am sober. Been an interesting ride.
I’ve heard that 90 days is an inflexion point for many people. I feel confident that my physical symptoms have largely gone away - my HR/BP & general state is soooo much better. I’m sleeping like a log, my skin & eyes are clearer & I’ve lost weight. Would be a lot more but the ice cream and chocolate are ensuring maintenance of my Dad bod. Hey no wine? Gotta have something - right?
What experiences/transitions/progress/challenges did you have at the three month + mark?
I’m definitely fighting the “I’m normal - lets have a glass of good red with dinner” or “Just worked out on a bike climbing hills for 30 miles - I deserve a cold beer” or just the “I’ve been sober for sooo long - I have earned a reprise” type voices.
Thanks - be great to get your ideas and comments.

100 days is great. Be very proud of yourself.
For me, the 3 month point was a chance to breathe a sigh of relief. I never imagined I would make it that far. I had created messes with my family relationships that I thought I would never be able to deal with. Getting through those 90 days made me believe that 'yes, I really could do this'.

Congratulations on 100 days sober. That is a great achievement.
I was still struggling with sleep and my health in general (blood pressure, blood sugars, lack of weight loss) at 100 days so it's good that you are finding the physical symptoms are already easing up. It took me until I got past 4 months for things to really start to improve.

Congrats on 100 days sober! The only thing I could suggest is what I was advised to do when I was at about 3 months and 'wasn't feeling it' - Practice gratitude every day. It improved my attitude and made me happier.

Hang in there too.
Congrats on 100 days Sloinge
I know everyone's different but posting here regularly, & getting feedback, really helped me keep the addictive rationalisations to drink again under control.

Be well - sorry it’s been a little rough for you - I don’t have a frame of reference for others - so I am now v grateful that I seem to be doing OK physically. We all react differently - maybe I’ll get PAWS next week!
congrats on 166. You’re knocking on the door of the half year! My compliments and kudos to you.

I was mega proud when I reached 100 days, triple digits! Far too hard fought for to lose it all and start again.
This is it Sloinge, you are well and truly on your way. Yes the AV is a sneaky little brat that will try every trick in the book. Just make sure you win all the battles and they will become less frequent. Regain the power!
Congratulations.
