Gosh PJ, you explained it so well. The babbling and shakes sound so familiar when I was drinking. I hope you and your home are safe.

VoVo, pleased to see you. Take care, you’ve been through a lot the last few years. We know drinking won’t solve anything for us.

Bim, Yaaaay, you’re going to the zoo. How lovely to see the new baby gorilla. Peach pie sounds delicious too.

Kaily beautiful close up pic.

I'm glad you're not losing your home Phoenix, that was a flashback - did I read your post correctly?

I hope your neighbours don't do anything else that is annoying Kaily. I have been to a place called King's Lynn in East Anglia today. It's nothing special but the surrounding countryside is very nice. I drove past one of the Queen's umpteen palaces nearby.

I think you should report it, Kaily if privacy is important to you.

I’m glad it was a misunderstanding Pj,

D

Weekly check-in time... Hello weekenders!

Thanks Mags for the thread. I'm told that if I ever drink again I'll find myself right back in the thick of it and frankly I can't imagine anything worse. I really don't want to test the theory coming up near to 900 days alcohol free.

So, life continues apace here. We had a scorching hot weekend now replaced by a humid and thundery spell. We visited a local National Trust property for a walk by the river and an ice cream. Lovely to be out in the sunshine for once. I'm juggling a few too many balls at work but the pay cheques keep coming and that in itself is an amazing benefit of sobriety. I'll be looking to invest in a property in the not too distant future. Who'd have thought that would be possible a few years ago!

Captain, I'm sorry to hear of your family circumstances - sending prayers. Sao, you do get about! Kaily, our canine companion is moving in at the end of September if all goes well. Newcomers, welcome! All, thank you for being here...

Warm wishes to all as always. Keep up the good work. Forwards.

Captain, sending love and prayers. I hope your parents are doing so much better.

We've had scorching weather too, in the 100's this past week and fire danger is through the roof! So scary sometimes. It is so dry out here. Glad I don't use it as an excuse to drink!

Love and peace, esp to anyone who is sufferring in any way.

Good Morning Weekenders

The sun’s up, a breeze too.

CaptainHaddock, your mum and dad, wife and yourself are in my thoughts.

Forwards, I’m pleased things are going well. Life’s easier to manoeuvre without booze in the mix.

New thread in a couple of hours.
