One Month Tomorrow
 

If someone had said to me a month ago tomorrow you will quit drinking I would have laughed! But here I am a month sober tomorrow. I’m so grateful to AA and this amazing site with you lovely new friends. I tried so many times to get sober on my own but I never could. This time I just feel different. I feel more positive and just more in tune with myself. Thank you to you all for making me feel so welcome and here’s to another day sober! xx

Those early milestones almost feel like miracles. You want to get sober, but it almost seems like too much to ask. You work for it, and then at a month, you're sober and defying the old reality you had concocted for yourself. That's probably how it feels to be transported to a different dimension in an alternate universe.
