I'm sorry you feel so bad, but you can use the memory of this next time to create a different outcome

I am looking forward to start again. I was feeling pretty good with not drinking for 5 days like a normal person, can’t wait to feel that way again. Now I’m like a nervous wreck which I get after drinking

You will get through this and you are capable of learning.
The nerves will calm down soon enough. Its good you are working and getting through your responsibilities.

Drinking made me really anxious, too. I think you will feel so much better when you stop completely. Of course you can do this.

You’ve taken the first step. You’re here. You want to stop. So that’s great. What helped me was finally going to AA. Also, for the first few months my only goal in life was not to drink for one day. I felt if I was trying to do too much it was overwhelming. So I did the bare minimum. Went to work, kept up with exercise, tried to eat healthy, but everything was toward not drinking that one day. I had a strict schedule too so after work (when I would usually drink) I kept myself busy. You can get sober and life will get better. It might suck now, but you can do this.

What's done is done. Get up and move on. Day 1 today of many more.
You can do it.
You've had a taste of the good life now make that your whole life.

You need to say and mean " I do not drink anymore"
Not for a woman, not because you're lonely bored tired whatever.
You, we, just do not drink.

Our lives are MUCH better sober.

Thinking of you, Disser. Hoping the worst is over & you're on your way to a brighter day.

I used to do that with vodka and feel bad when the bottle was almost gone - there just wasnt enough left in it for me.

This of all seems to me to be the most dangerous sign - the very edge of a precipice that’s not easy to come back from if you keep going. My old AA sponsor got to this stage and even worse and she ended up sleeping with a weapon under her pillow in case the urge to shoot herself became too much to resist. A lot of people complain about AA types but let me tell you they’ve been to the very mouth of hell and back and I respect them for that even though AA turned out not to be a proper fit for me for various reasons.

I truly hope you stay on the recovery path where you are safe.

There’s a saying when you’re in a hole, stop digging....
Honestly Disser you’ve got to stop digging.

What can you do to stop drinking today, man?

That could be a short term solution for sure....but working too much can make you feel you deserve a drink...
I was thinking more about making changes - looking at the things that lead you to drink and finding more support.?
