Really? I think it's common to have a little nostalgia for the days when I could drink with immunity from all the consequences but those days were long ago and far away and I can't (and don't want to) go back there.


I now look at it as grateful to have escaped that life.

Yep, me too! Never thought I would end up drinking the way I did. Also, never though I could quit. Welcome and good luck on your recovery journey xx

Went to dinner with my college age kids. Didn’t order a drink. Not sure if they noticed but 9/10 times I would have. Sleeping better. Actually waking up at 5 AM feeling rested, like I’m done sleeping and it’s time to get up. Kicking my butt by 9pm though.

I feel like I’m eating more. Replacing the alcohol calories/carb calories maybe?

again, so far so good.
