The devil must be trying hard!
We close on our very first house in 2 days (Friday). Yesterday and Monday I had to submit more documents to the underwriter and thought all was good. Well at 8:02 last night, I was emailed and told we need 2k more and MORE documents. So I email back frustrated but finally calmed down and went to bed. Didn’t sleep great. I’m guessing because I woke up with a sinus headache and seasonal allergies causing running nose, sneezing, etc. Ok, so not the end of the world. I get ready to go get my spray tan (friends starting biz - never done it before) and my hubby calls that the transmission went out in his truck. Of course it did, I scheduled to do some thing for myself! Not to mention our other work vehicle (we run our own business) is also out of commission. We have truck towed to dealer and hubby takes my truck. Lender calls to say ok we don’t need the additional 2k but now need another two documents. Sheesh. So know I’m sitting here drinking tea, with a runny nose, trying to get a rental car but can’t use credit cards because we close on Friday. The devil really wants me to drink apparently but I will get thru today!!

Just an update. It’s 6:50 here and I haven’t drank. I passed my drinking threshold start time. So I know I’ll go to bed sober. Pretty sure hubby not drinking either - he took other truck to mechanic and on way home. So I’ve been sober 3 consecutive days in a row making a total 10 sober days out of 14 (2 weeks). That’s pretty good in my book considering I was drinking daily since my youngest son as 6 months or so (3.5 yrs).
