Breaking the associations
Boating was a big hurdle for me too, Jillian. I actually took a short break from boating while I got my sober feet under me. But now I can boat sober and do anything sober. On the one hand, alcohol is everywhere and so the ultimate solution was making a choice and an iron-clad plan not to drink, and thinking through my actions ahead of time. On the other hand, many of us avoided our most alcohol-flavored pursuits for a few weeks or months until we had built some sober muscles.

This is such a tough one, and is different for everyone.
I used to like to drink in nice weather. But now I need to associate nice weather with something else, like birdwatching or going on a long walk.
it's hard, it takes time, but you will get there! You said yourself that no one else was drinking anyways, so just don't bring alcohol next time maybe.

sorry the link did not work for you for some reason, Jillian
Here's the same material from a different site
https://dmh.mo.gov/media/pdf/action-...n-and-recovery
and another
https://www.npaihb.org/wp-content/up...r-recovery.pdf
they're pdfs so they work on a scroll down principle.

Doing good overall. Today is day 3 which has proven to be difficult to get past but will stick close to here today. Woke up with sinus headache and allergies, we close on our house in 2 days and these lenders are driving me crazy, but overall good! LOL
The whole buying/ selling of a home and all the paper work and questions that are asked a BILLION times. SOOOOOOO annoying. I hear you on the allergies. This year has been the worst for me. Stay close. Keep posting. Keep moving forward. You are doing this. Congrats on Day 3. AWESOME!
