My friend is addicted to PORN. He enjoys watching and masturbating more than physical sex. Is it any way to recover from here?

Stop watching it. Quit cold turkey, just like with booze. No other way if one is addicted, and it is an addiction for many.

Our reward pathways get conditioned to things, and porn offers endless variety, so of course there is more opportunity for unique sensory stimulation from that, as opposed to one partner. Hence the addiction. But relationships with real people are infinitely more meaningful and pleasurable in the long run.
