1 week sober in the bank!

One week in the bank sober is an absolute miracle for me !!!!
Good Morning! What a week. Needless to say I am so grateful to have 7 days clean and sober.
I was in such a state of despair and hopelessness before I quit I never thought I would be able to stop for one day much less 7 days.
I say 7 days in the bank because it feels like an investment in my future.
I really don't know what to say except thank you all who have helped me with your words of wisdom and advise.
I ran into a friend yesterday who said what have you been doing. You look 5 years younger and 20 pounds lighter.
So as shallow as that is it was definitely please and grateful.
Day 8 here I come cautious and well aware of how hard it is to stay and keep sober.

You have been a breath of fresh air to all of us too.

I cannot tell you how happy I am that you're making it work. A week is pretty great and it does seem like a miracle, right? Because it is. Hang on to that with all you've got.

Keep
It
Going

Onward to 8.

Congratulations AD42L!

You are doing so amazing! Keep up the positive attitude and be ready for that AV to pop up! It’s amazing how quickly we start to look and feel better when we cut out alcohol!

Wonderful work!
Each day sober is a blessing. It is not easy to get through the initial phase of getting sober. Keep on keeping on. You got this.

Such good news, but not surprising. Knew you could do this! Very proud of you.

Congratulations on 1 week sober I love the positivity in your opening post plus it's good to read about how you are immediately reaping the benefits of sobriety through looking healthier. Keep going!

Congratulations on your 1st week!

Now, concentrate on staying sober on day #8.

And when you finish that, move on to day #9. That's how you do this, "one day at a time."
