Hi, weekenders!

Haven't caught up with all your posts yet. Popped in to say Hello.

Miss you, guys.

I'm ok.

Just busy.

Back to my 5 days a week workout schedule after a long and slow recovery from the bronchitis.

Exercising was and still is among my major tools in recovery. And it's quite a multifunctional tool - produces mental health supporting neurochemicals, forces me out of isolation and into the gym where I am among other people, instills discipline, fills in unoccupied time (which is always danger in early recovery) with overall productive acitvity - to name a few.

SR, no doubt, was my cornerstone to develop my toolbox around.

Have a great sober weekend, everyone!

Funny that. SR is one of my big tools, so why don’t I use it when I really need it? Because I don’t like to bother people so I try to do it on my own, and I don’t like to bring the mood down so I stay quiet.
One way to blow that out of the water for me is to think its kinda egotistical to think that my posts have the power to bring other people down.

Nah

SR is about support. Use it

D

End of Day 11 and going to bed sober again. It’s snowing here but I doubt it will stick.

Good night everyone and see you tomorrow x

I think the weather here is similar to London, Sao. Always a bit overcast and when it is not overcast it is cold. We dress in layers. Peel them off as the day progresses. Tomorrow is supposed to be 62 degrees though.....I mean, WHOA! Somebody get the ice cubes and fans. Its a scorcher!
It looks like London will be having a warm day mid next week. 65 degrees!

I used to use Fear as a sobriety tool, but then I stopped that and started using Hope instead. Works much better for me.

Good morning. Happy Saturday. It's day 9. Hand isn't so sore after burning it drunk. Hopefully it will heal well with time. It's a good reminder not to drink in the meantime.

Is that so? That is encouraging, thank you Mizz. It has certainly started well this morning.

Great to see you MidnightBlue I missed you too! (and Lunar) I'm glad all is well with you, especially in regard of the bronchitis. I live in a big city too - it is not great for our respiratory systems.

It was fear that got me started on the road to recoverry least but it is hope that keeps me on that road.

Morning Weekenders!

It's a lazy day (again) for me today. I've got three parcels being delivered today from amazon. Hopefully all three will come at the same time. My right knee, which was sore and swollen yesterday morning, was paining last night. I kept it elevated for a while last night and it's not as bad this morning. It's another reason though for me to rest up today. I'm declaring today Lazy Saturday.

Good Morning Weekenders

Sun’s shining here in north Lincolnshire.

Good to see you Midnight

Robbie, a relaxing Saturday sounds just the tonic!

Had a bit of a day yesterday when I had to call an ambulance for father in law. He’s been on antibiotics for a supposedly chest infection and was still awaiting a nurse visit, but he got worse so he’s now in hospital being looked after.

Whatever worries we have it’s always good to wake up sober. I’d have been no good to help anyone when I was drunk.

Hope your father in law is better soon Mags.

Hellp Purplrks and Manta!

I've just remembered, today is the last day of GMT for us in the UK. Tomorrow it's the first day of BST. Or to put it another way, the clocks go forward by 1 hour tonight... which is good news for me as I love the lighter nights and being able to go for a walk on an evening.

Thanks Robbie, thanks Willow

I really don’t like the clock changes. Though I love the longer daylight hours my body clock doesn’t like the adjustment. Or it may be my brain. Anyway it makes me feel discombobulated for a few days.

Good morning. A wet, cloudy, and raw day here today, but my daughter is coming to visit so it will be nice.

I hope your father in law is OK Mags.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Hope your FIL is on the mend soon Mags xx ((hugs))

I really dislike the clock changes twice a year. It sets me off balance and having to readjust eating times, bedtime and getting up is always a huge struggle for me...just as I get used to one clock change the next one comes along. Judging by the amount of traffic outside schools nowadays not many kids walk to school anymore lol so what’s the need for lighter mornings in winter? Grumble over haha!!

I am not far off having every room in the house spotless and sparkling clean. Later this aft gonna have my relaxing bath and can snuggle down tonight in a bed with clean bedsheets dried on the line outside (love the smell of washing that’s been on the line). It’s going to be so good to wake up sober tomorrow with a totally clean and organised home after a relaxing evening. Hopefully I can start a book or go walking or something else as I’ll not use the excuse of “I should be doing this or that in the house”. That’s the plan anyhow xx

BST, is it like BS-Time? Like in ...BS?))

I am having a half-lazy day too - loosening my nutrition a bit and taking a day off the gym.

Mags - Hope your FiL will be ok.

Spring is finally here, took it a while to find its way to this part of the world.

MB - BS in BST is British Summer (T = Time), not any other BS!
