Hi,
I'm a newcomer to this forum.
I'm an adult child of an alcoholic. Although my qualifier has been dead for 20 years, I realised a year and a half ago, that I am still affected by his drinking in my childhood. I started to seek recovery first in Al-Anon and then in ACA. I wanted to join a forum to find ESH and meet people of similar circumstance.
I look forward to reading threads and finding information here.

Welcome dberl, and I'm glad you found us. I relate to what you posted. My mother was an alcoholic and there are still times when I hear her voice in my head. You will find lots of support here.

Welcome! Many of us are ACOA, myself included. It has led to so many issues and dysfunctional behaviors, besides drinking.
There is also a section of the forum for ACOA's but it is pretty slow, however there might be something in there of value for you.
