It’s been raining constantly here for a few days. We lost power but it’s back on now.
We really needed the rain, so the ground has been soaking it up but everything is waterlogged now. We even have a few leaks so inside is getting waterlogged in places too. That’s what happens when it doesn’t rain for ages, then it rains heaps all at once lol. Soggy towels mopping up today.

Saou, hope your headache has passed.

Willow, I hope the rain hasn’t caused any damage in your home. It can make such a mess.

itsmaria, so pleased you got through the weekend sober.

Mr. Mags got his jab on Friday. Just a few weeks now for him to have some protection.

It’s freezing cold here, I noticed when I let the cats out, stars are shining brightly but I can’t see the moon.

I think it’s got to be porridge for breakfast to warm me up.

See you later

Hope you are feeling better Sao. Cutting down on screen time isn't always easy.

Pleased that your husband got his vaccination, Mags.

Knew you could do it, Maria!

Nature must be loving all that the rain, Willow.

I had oat bran and sultanas for breakfast, nice. Taking my Dad shopping today and bringing his dirty washing home to wash. Exciting stuff.

Morning all!

Another beautiful day although once again it's very cold.

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus - that's Welsh for "Happy St David's Day" - which is celebrated on 1 March, St David being the patron saint of Wales. Sadly most outdoor events have been cancelled this year. It's also the first day of spring (or autumn if you live in the southern hemisphere) under the meteorological calendar. The weather outside is just perfect.

Willow, I hope the new job is going well and that Jonathon is good. Sorry you had to have a power outage, leaky roof, and mud, but I'm sure the rain is good to have.

Robbie, I don't hear, or see much Welch around here. Thanks.

My ancestors are Welsh, so I'm pleased to know that the first day of the month I got sober has a Welsh holiday attached to it. Happy St. David's Day, thanks Robbie. Google says something about daffodils and leeks...that's an unusual combo. I did see some blooming daffs yesterday on my walk. They were volunteers or planted randomly, makes them all the more beautiful.

Heck, I'm happy it's March in general. I'm so grateful for still hanging on to my precious sobriety. Everything else in my life seems a bit broken right now, but not that. Not. That. The most important thing.

Wow. I grew up in Florida...look at this cool image from an article on my local news named, "Florida Waterfront Condos Literally Create Their Own Weather."

Huh. That article was from 2012. Weird that it came up in my feed. The internet is not to be trusted!

Still a cool image - and too late to edit.

Afternoon Weekenders.

Canadian Koala, yes we did have a nice thunderstorm on Friday afternoon. It lasted for about an hour and I’d say in the region of 30mm came down.

Hope you had a decent time shopping with your dad, Kaily. Having to do his washing is not that nice though. As my own parents grow older, I get more and more convinced that for some of us having children is one of the best investments one could ever hope to make .

Those condos look like a heavy metal fan's paradise, the can pretend it's dry ice.

Pleased to say my headache has lifted so thanks to all.

I don't care when anyone else say it is but for me today is also the 1st day of Spring. That's what the Met Office says and it's good enough for me.

Cool picture with the condos on the beach. It doesn't do that where I mostly go though because there are no large condo buildings. Plenty of interesting weather behavior though, especially in the summer.

Glad the headache lifted Saou. Was cleaning out my work truck over the weekend and came across my old stash of BC Powder and Ibuprofen, which were mostly for headaches associated with hangovers.

"The internet is not to be trusted! " - I would concur.

Bim, is today your soberversary? (Congratulations if so! ) Or have I misunderstood
Good picture, quite haunting the way the fog goes over the buildings.

Happy St. David’s Day! It sounds better in Welsh Robbie

I don’t know why but I seem hungry a lot just lately. Could be the cold weather maybe.

It must be spring the daffodils are out.

I’m always hungry Mags

The water inside has lifted some paint (it’s all bubbly) where it’s been running down inside the walls, but that’s the worst of it I think. Luckily all the leaking was into tiled areas so it was easy to mop up. It’s been fixed now (hopefully). There was apparently a hole in the wall upstairs where the aircon had been replaced last year, so water was coming down inside the wall from upstairs to downstairs.

Kaily yes nature is absolutely loving the rain. Everything is lush and green and beautiful at the moment

Thanks Cityboy, I’m really enjoying my job

I hope you’re all doing ok

I realised I was being hemispherist earlier, it is of course the first day of autumn on the other half of the planet.
