Day 12– omg, emotions much?

I guess this is that thing that happens when you cover your emotions for years with alcohol abuse—you feel it all at once.

week one was like a fog that wouldn’t lift, now at the end of week two, I just feel all the emotions. I sure hope week three comes with a bit more level headed ness

Yes, it's a lot to manage, but you can get through it. For me, around 3 weeks or so things started to become more manageable. You will learn to deal with the emotions.

I've said before its like a dam wall breaking and emotions flood out...but you'll find an emotional consistency again - you just need a little time and patience Jj

Hang in there. I remember having all my feelings surface at once. As time goes on, I am a bit better at handling them. Feel them, let it out and cry—just don’t drink.

Do you have people to talk to about how your feeling—other than SR? I found reaching out for help, very helpful.
