Day 7, IM STILL HERE

I am pleased I've managed upto day 7. It's been months and I couldn't even get past day 4. I do feel empty amongst other things but I'm managing. I've made some real improvements. My next step today is to start exercising, walking ,running, anything to keep me going. Thankyou All.

Walking works very well for me. I am blessed to have a sweet little beagirl and I love nothing more than taking her for walks, long and short. It's good exercise, gets us out in the fresh air and sunshine, and clears the cobwebs from our minds. Billie has no cobwebs in her canine mind, but she does enjoy checking her peemail...

Congrats on the first of many sober weeks!

Keep moving forward Izzy.

Weeks turn into months, months into years.

Drunken nightmare into life dreams.

Stay in the focussed 'day' tho.

Way to go Izzy! The promise to yourself will be realised.

That is awesome Izzyak. If you feel like it, getting some exercise would be a great idea. Time permitting, I walk miles and miles every day that I can. The simplicity of walking really quiets our minds I think. Keep going on your new sober road and again, 7 days is fantastic!!!

Way to go, man! Really, that first week is so fantastic! It gets easier as you keep going.

The exercise will really help! I bike for two hours every other day and walk on the alternate days. It really helps, so much that the thought of drinking doesn't even occur to me when I have had a good workout.

You can do this!

Wonderful news, Izzy - 7 days is something to be so proud of.
I remember feeling very disoriented in the early days - I think it's normal - but that feeling faded as I grew stronger. You're doing this!

You're a few days ahead of me! Today's day 5 and for the first time since ever trying to be sober...this one feels different. Like this was the try that was meant to be. Keep at it and I will as well! We can beat this!

We all know you’ve climbed a mountain in 7 days, Izzy. Pat on the back! The walking etc is a great plan. Another week, maybe two, and you’ll start feeling great.
