from my lunchtime walk. I got soaked on the way home.
The trees are in the water and it's nearly up to the walkway.
It's called the Garonne River.

The Garonne appears to be a little higher than normal. Wish I could take some water off your hands.

Our poor planet is broken, floods, pandemics and fires to name but a few.

We need to fix it.

Just regular February weather.
The month was traditionally known as "February Fill-Dyke"

does anyone listen to The Archers*? it seems like the story arc of Alice's drinking problem is coming to a head - I might have to start listening again.

I have never listened to the Archers but have just been watching a relapse in Emmerdale (UK Soap).

Good Morning Weekenders

Vinny, crikey that’s a lot of rain!

Andy, yes pinch punch. White rabbits

MantaLady, aww I’m sorry you had a row with your mum, thing is with texts no one can slam the receiver down first so it can go on way past you both meant it to. Hope you both make up soon.

Bim, how is Gorilla Nadiri doing in her pregnancy? Any news?

Good News-I heard from Saoutchick and he said he is fine.

Caramel, I’ve not heard of February Fill-Dyke, our reservoirs will be brimming over and hopefully last us through the summer.

It’s snowing here, not like on the news in Central Park though. They’re big white flakes coming down but turn into water when they hit the ground. I’d have liked to build a snowman with all this spare time I have.

Today I have a hospital appointment miles away from home. I can't drive as I don't know if there is any parking, so I have to get buses and tubes in rush hour - if there is a rush hour anymore.

And it's pouring with rain.

Anxiety is building ... I'm not a city girl.

Kaily stay safe. Have you checked the hospital on line to see if there is parking for patients and visitors?

Thanks Mags. Yes I have it just says street parking which is pretty vague, especially in London where there are always restrictions.

Not helpful at all for you. Have you the Your Parking space App, you can book spaces on that, then again it’s London and I probably don’t know what I’m talking about. Be safe, do you have a medical mask you can wear. x

Morning Weekenders

Another quick visit as the decorator will be here soon.

Manta, sorry to hear about your row with your mum. Hopefully everything will get sorted. I could never argue with someone by text for the simple reason I just can't text type fast enough. It takes me ages just to type one sentence.

Mags, there was meant to be heavy snow this morning where I live but instead we've just got heavy rain / sleet.

Kaily, I hope you are OK when you get to your hospital appointment. Street parking sounds very vague and unless there's lots of it (doubtful in London) you could be driving around for ages looking for somewhere to park.

Hi Robbie, it’s settling now, but I don’t think it’ll last.

Hope it goes well today Kaily and stay safe xx

Hoping me and my Mum can clear the air today. We didn’t speak for 18 years and only reconnected 5 years ago. It was a big thing in my counselling at rehab and I never disagree with her (since we reconnected that is) as I am a bit scared of her if I am honest. Think I am also worrying myself sick over the vetting process for my new job and catastrophising thinking somethings gonna go wrong. Going to have a self care day today, it’s much needed!

Had a huge snowfall overnight and super shocked how deep it is. Hoping the wind settles down a bit so I can get out for a walk in it. I am pretty pleased I went out food shopping yesterday and stocked up just in case, can’t see me being able to move my car for a day or two x
