New here decided to stop alcool
We're so happy to meet you, MissQueenBee. Finding SR helped me stop a 30 yr. drinking habit. I never felt alone again after joining.
We're all here to listen and help - be proud of yourself for making the decision to get free.

It's good to meet you, MissQueenBee! I'm glad you're here--SR is a great place for advice and support from those who truly understand the horror of alcohol addiction, and I hope you stick around and post whenever you need help or have something to offer another. Someone is always here. Wishing you all the best on your sober journey.

Sorry if I am not using the tool correctly i will learn I guess. For sure I will look around. In these times with Covid and all trying to go to AA quite hard and not sure the best for me but wanted to try just saying I had a problem as the years go by felt kind of ashame weird. But really need to change this I feel that I will miss out on social events like quitting a buddy but really need to change this mindset. Good to see I am not alone ... i deank so mich more during this covid working from home and all wow that was not good.
Hi MissQueenBee! How are you doing today? Don't be a stranger. Let us know how things are going.
There is a thread called Class of January 2021 for people who quit this month - maybe pop in there too.
Wishing you well!

Hi all, doing ok for now day 5 i will look at the references provided for sure. Questionning more on how to process or ignore the triggers, stress is a big one. I am foggy a bit kind of feel like being all over the place with the toughs but not drinking... o)
Way to go MissQueenBee! Really good to hear. You're just about through the hardest part - the physical withdrawal.
Yes it's very normal to feel foggy and kind of disoriented in the first week or two. Stress was a big one for me too but I found it helped to exercise, even just taking a 15 min a walk helps.
Really glad to hear from you!
