Hello n help

My plan as it where is to slowly cut down on my daily intake so that I can get to a level of drinking where I'm able to one day quit cold turkey.my supply of cider is been controlled with my mam's help,we don't live together and I'm very far away from a outlet selling alcohol.
thanks for the advice I appreciate it👍

Like a lot of other people tapering/cutting never worked for me but it seems to be the advice given in the UK.
8 cans is still a lot - but I hope you can cut down from that in a reasonable amount of time.

Welcome James! I know you can make it to your jumping off point to abstinence. This site helps with posting and reading and the support you will find here. Someone earlier mentioned seeing your doctor. It's a good idea to get your blood pressure checked and controlled if necessary. Booze drove my blood pressure up greatly and my doctor helped me get it under control - same with anxiety.

Anyway - I'm glad you're here! Keep on keeping on!

If you run into trouble you can always try for a telehealth or phone appointment.
