Day 20 check in
Not overly tempted, thing of it sometimes, but nothing too serious. I learned the last couple times moderation is a myth for me.
just wanted to say thank you again. Thus time is different, something to the "you have to be ready".

20 days is awesome Raeven. You are so right about having to be ready. I had to reach a point where I just didn't want to drink anymore. Those occasional thoughts of drinking are just that. Thoughts. They come and go and you never ever have to act on them. Again, well done on 20!!!

I still think of having a drink after two years although it’s getting rarer and rarer. The last time was a couple of weeks back and lasted a few seconds
It really does fade over time so keep doing what you’re doing. 20 days is great going. I almost felt human again at around 20 days, but the cravings lasted a few more weeks. I then had a family emergency on day 55 and came within inches of drinking! Who knows, if I’d had that drink, I might still be drinking now. Sober time needs to be protected and cherished

Ive noticed with sober time that I do not think of drinking alcohol all that much. I got off work last night and thought about how hungry and tired I was and how nice it would be to get home and eat.
Good for you for doing the next best thing and for staying sober. Its rough initially. You are doing this!
