Not new to recovery but have a plan to stay sober

I would always come on here and say I want to do this for this person. I want to blame so and so for my addiction. I am ready to own it, forgive myself and do right for my family that I love because I want to be happy and I want to be sober. This is probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do but mot impossible. I know in my heart I can do this. God is with me. My loved ones support me but it is up to me to do this for myself Day 1.

You can absolutely do this hollowx1, as many here will attest. I think you have the right approach - this is really something we need to do for ourselves first and foremost. We cannot meet our challenges in life, and our obligations to our family when we are dealing with an addiction.

You are right in owning it and I hope you will join the January class for support and insights. You can do this!

It probably is the hardest thing you will ever do. It was for me. But, you can do it, for sure, and we're here to offer support. I'm glad you're ready to move on from doing this for someone else and from blaming others. I did the same for a long time, and of course, it goes nowhere. I'm glad you are beginning Day 1 today.

I'm so glad you posted - you can get free, hollowx. It helps to talk things over here - with those who truly understand what you're going through.
