Alba, are you around?

Alba,
How are you doing? Are you sleeping any better? How is your exercise routine coming along? Check in when you get a chance. We are here for you.

Its Tuesday! Life is going well in this part of the world....at least in my world. Im looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Mizz here and sober. I've not been exercising because I injured myself due to my excess weight, it's always a downer which is probably why I've not been as active on here the last couple days. I'm fine and counting the days.

How are you - I read you had a wee wobble but sorted it out like a champ?

Good to hear from you, Alba! Its also very good to hear you are on the sober train! Injuries are no good. Ive had them. Ive been working through Plantar Fasciitis for what seems like 6 months now. I dont even know how long? I hope you get better soon and get back to walking and the Gym!

I did have a moment where my stress was at an all time high. I did work through it and I am better off.
Stay close, Alba! Looking forward to hearing from you more.

The one good thing about that is there's no shortage of AA meetings! I've no' attended meetings this time around, because of the Covid, but I downloaded the app and have been reading my books. I plan to do the steps when this is all over.

Thanks for your comment, fella

The one thing I've learned about Scotland from popular culture is that when you get in a walking competition, say a 500 mile race, you always want to take the low road. Low road gets you there way faster than the high road.

I am also a Scot. It is a wonderful place with some breath-taking scenery, history, culture and the people are friendly and warm; albeit somewhat difficult to understand (from a travellers perspective). Like most Norther European countries, the Scots do like a drink and this has become a bit of a cultural stereotype. The truth is more about endemic poverty and lack of opportunity.

Iowa is the Hawkeye State, I bet she's from Iowa. Not to be confused with Ohio the Buckeye State.

You often hear the Scotch-Irish label for the people who settled in the mountains of Appalachia and the Ozarks, my people. I think those were mainly people from Scotland who went over to Ireland to help make it more Protestant or something. And we have a lot of England English ancestors in the mix too.
