2 years today.

Today marks 2 years since I decided to stop letting alcohol run my life. Not really looking for praise or congrats from anyone. Mainly posting to reassure the people that are just starting out and struggling,or anyone really...that you can do this. It will get easier. Things will get better. Don’t give up.

Two years sober is wonderful. And newcomers can get a lot of support from your post. Posts like yours give hope to those struggling, to let them know that it can be done.

Well done, Kaboom. Oh yes, those dark days of early withdrawal do indeed go in a matter of weeks. After that, things get easier and life gets way way better

I SO believe congratulations are in order even if that's not the reason you posted. That is a big deal and it is definitely encouraging to read. Thank you!

Congratulations! I am getting there myself. It was 18 months sober yesterday. Shares like yours have kept me going all this time.

Sincere congratulations, anyway.

Spot on, Boom. It does get easier, and even second nature. There used to be a saying in my group, "Don't leave before the miracle happens." OK, OK, it's not really a miracle, but sometimes it sure as heck feels like one.
