I've been cutting my own hair too - but I have wavy/curly hair that's down the middle of my back and no fringe. Kind of hard to mess that up if I just take off a little. Even if I were to mess it up, I have two feet of hair to practice and there's always a bun.

Good job Robbie. Pretty soon we'll realize we are practically off the grid.

Well, except not.

My hair looks like I could be a character in a horror movie, a year uncut now and it’s not pretty lol

I got an interview doing my normal thing but for a Marine Conservation Org...if it works it works and would be chuffed and if it doesn’t then chuffed for the opportunity x

Mags, I only have a hand mirror to see the back of my head so couldn't see what I was doing while actually cutting my hair at the back. It probably could do with being cut a little bit more at the back but it looks OK in the mirror and it feels OK too. As it was quite short anyway there wasn't lots to have to cut off.

Fingers crossed Manta, what a great job that would be.

Mags, for me the taste of the prep wasn't the problem, it was more about the effect!

Manta, that sounds amazing. All the best.x
Kaily, I believe Mr. Mags didn’t like the percussions either.

Robbie, sounds like you got it sorted.

I can’t believe people are still not believing covid is real.

Another Weekend under our belts!

Manta, a job with the Marine Conservation Org sounds great. Best of luck.

Colonoscopies are recommended here at age 50 and the frequency thereafter is based on the results of the first and each ensuing procedure. Prep is definitely the worst part of it. It’s not something I look forward to but a clear result is a really great feeling.

Robbie, good job on tackling your own hair cut. I use the electric clippers to cut my husband’s hair. I first cut it all over with a #2 and then blend the back and sides into the crown area with a #1.

I have been cutting my hair, also, mostly my fringe bangs; watching some how-to videos was very helpful. My hair grows like a weed and is almost at my collarbone; haven’t had hair this long since my 20s but it will still be a while until it is pony tail or bun length; still have only very minimal gray so I don’t have to worry about coloring. Most of my friends are doing DIY hair coloring and are getting quite good at it; a few have decided that they like the gray that is growing in and are embracing it.

Glad that your ankle is improving, Bim.

Good Morning Weekenders

Leigh the weekends do fly by.

Bim I’m pleased your foot is getting better.

I’m looking for a bird table. But it needs certain specifications. I’m wondering whether to ask my friend’s husband if he would make one. But I imagine the cost of the wood may be more than buying it. I’ll keep looking, I’m sure just the right one will turn up.

See you later, hope everyone is ok. xxxx

If I was you I would ask him, Mags. Some bird tables for sale are so flimsy. A nice bespoke one would be lovely and he might be pleased of the work.

Hi Leigh. . My hair is longish, past my shoulders and always has been, so apart from my fringe doesn't matter if it is cut or not. Still got the same style as when I was four. I do colour it though, I started going grey at eighteen!

Going shopping at 6am, I avoid the crowds that way but often the delivery hasn't been so stuff fresh is limited. Always plenty of buns though.

My dogs are snoring away, one on and one under the bed. They are nearly friends now but will never be besties.

fingers crossed manta !

i was looking a bit like a zz top before xmas and mrs vman "made me" trim off half for my 36 hours with the inlaws. She was borderline divorce talking so...

That's one thing i like about the UK and Ireland being able to go shopping a 06:00. That idea is alien here in France. (its political so better not get into it...)

bonne journée amigos

Well I have emailed the CEO of Asda. The first five staff I saw in the supermarket were not wearing masks! I expect he will make it his number one priority today.

Ok I am a little bored ...

(I hope no one here is CEO of Asda)

What is a bird table?

Also, I've definitely noticed a lot more Grizzly Adams-looking men out in their cars and around the area. They are a bit scary. Yesterday I saw a young man with nearly regular hair but a six inch long beard. Has there been a razor shortage or is this just lack of need for hygiene?
