Interview

I have an interview tomorrow and feel a lot of trepidation about it. I haven't done an interview since 2007. Yes, you read that right.

Outstanding! Unsolicited advice to follow: Listen very carefully to their questions. Pause before you answer to collect your thoughts. Be truthful. Take notes so you don’t lose track of the question or thoughts you may have.

If it is meant to be then it will be.

Keep us posted.

You'll be great. BABM had some very good advice.

Remember an interview is a two way street. Ask them questions, not about pay and benefits etc., but about company philosophy, managerial style, why did last person in position leave, average tenure of person in position, what is biggest challenge facing person who takes job, why did they decide to work for company, what is their favorite thing about working there, etc.

Good luck! I would offer the same advice as BABM. Is it an in person interview, or on Zoom?

I've interviewed a lot of people in my current job and discussed the assessments with other interviewers. If there is one thing we all tend to agree on is that the candidates who typically make the best impression are those who don't only have the right/wanted background and skills for the position but show very clear interest and curiosity about the work they are interviewing for and the company, not merely to toot their horn and to say how they could make it better. All the best!

Edit: sorry I just realized you may have been through it already. I hope it went well!

That's great. Just wondering did you do it via video conference? I've been doing alot of meetings via video still getting the swing of things.
