40 days

I'm on day 40, we had a little party on Saturday evening for my husband, who will be 50 on Thursday coming, I drank 2 glasses of apple juice and ginger ale, I cooked and prepared food most of the day down at my daughters then we went a drive for an hour so as my daughters could get the place set up as it was a surprise, anyway things went great, and being the party animal that I am, I left them all to it and went to bed to read at half 10, I'm so grateful I've made it this far, I hope you are all well x

Good job Boggle. The longer you go the more normal this way of life will feel.

Thank you, I knew this party was coming up and I argued In my head about having a drink, I won in the end. Now the big herdle of Christmas day. I've already my family told I don't want them drinking. But time will tell.

Well done Boggle. Even from very early
on I didn't mind social events and enjoyed them
sober. I didn't need any excuse to get drunk, and certainly not a social event...my drinking was pretty anti social.

One thing I always did was give myself a get out. So if I felt like drinking or was not enjoying myself or was very tempted I could leave. This never happened but I found it comforting to have a back up.

Difficult to have this if the drinking is at your own home - are your Xmas plans to be at your place?

Be, they are at my house, but I've said they can drink in the evening, which is fine by me as they will all go to the garage, last year I drank as did they and it was destroyed. So I don't want that this year.
I never drank in a crowd or with people it was my thing to hide it, x

Day 47,as last few days I've found my self in a bit of a downer, I could cry at the drop of a hat, is this normal, or am I just pathetic. X

I think emotional swings are pretty normal Boggle. Took me about 3 months to find a constant emotional level...you may find it sooner

47 days is great
