Sounds as though your friend has some issues, MantaLady. Sorry that this happened to you. Distancing/removing yourself from this friendships seems like a good plan.

Stay close, anxiousrock; we do this together.

Good to see you Leigh. I hope the bites heal up soon. I had to look up noseeums too (of course if you had said ceratopogonidae of the sub order nematocera I would have known straight away Nasty looking blighters.

Good luck Mr or Miss whippet, fingers crossed.

I don't blame you for not wanting to speak to them MantaLady.

Bedtime.

Kaily, hoping they find little whippet

I remember a few years ago reading a border collie running off on Scaffel Pike. Lots of people out looking for him, with hundreds people sending support. One guy went out in the night after checking the maps and trying to assess where he might be on the Peak. After a treacherous walk up to like a cave/alcove, there he was tired, cold and frightened and so pleased to see the climber. (The climber had a video camera on his head which showed how difficult it was to find him if you wasn’t familiar with the Pike).
Kaily, hopefully someone who knows the Forest well may give them some guidance,

Leigh hoping your new clothes prevent the little horrors from biting.

Manta, sometimes you see the true colours of some people who are best to avoid.

See you soon with the new thread. xx
