This year
I will be off to work soon, and wanted to wish everyone a great holiday weekend.
This will be the first Thanksgiving we have had alone. A sign of the times I guess. But...I'm not bothered by it. I'm sober and will remain sober and that is thanks enough. We must continue to fight and move forward. IF, we move backwards (relapse/slip) we must get up, dust off and get back on the horse to ride another day.
Hope everyone is well. Jeff

FYI, I know I sounded a bit like a cheerleader in my original post, but when we fail, we grow. Lord knows I've failed miserably throughout my life, but I stuck with it and put one in the "win" column. You can too. The great thing about SR is that we can air out our failures with no judgement. Only encouragement. And I encourage and support every last one of you.
Be your own Champion, be your own hero.
....this may sound very arrogant, but when I was at the top of my bodybuilding career, people used to ask me who I wanted to be like. My answer was no one, I want people to be like me. same thing in sobriety. I want all of you to be sober like me and live real life.
