Trying to start over...
Hi All,
Just checking in. I haven't been doing well after my last relapse and struggling to stop and start recovery again.
Hoping that I will pull through, just for today.
Wishing you all the best.

I had to plan it out. If I didn't quit I knew I was going to die a miserable death. I knew others had did this, so can I. I just knew I wasn't going to feel well for a while but it would be well worth it. I didn't expect too much of myself for a while just as long as I didn't drink. You can do this! Best wishes!

I've been in a loop, stressing about things which are supposed to happen, which have happened, trying to get through the day work-wise and then burning out by the evening and drinking heavily. I decided today I will only focus on not drinking, come what may. If I can do that, I know tomorrow will be better and I will starting getting my life back. I've contacted AA again, they are doing online meetings at the moment, haven't attended one yet but I probably will at some point. Just need to focus on not drinking today.

Although the day isn't over yet, I know I got through it as there is no way I will drink today. I'm not feeling too good but I kept re-reading your posts above and it gave me the clarity I need. This is absolutely worth it, the discomfort will pass. Thank you all.
Hi, LW - good to have you back with us.
You will get through the discomfort of the early days - it's a small price to pay for getting free.
I drank 30 yrs. & in the end it was every day. It was no longer doing a thing for me - never fun or relaxing. What a blessing to be rid of it. I'm so glad you've made the decision to change your life.
