One year's sobriety
I remember your early posts, Auchie. We all felt your early withdrawal pain, but you went through the pain barrier and came out even better.
As you say, temptation will come. I’m 23 months in and wanted a drink a couple of weeks back. Like you, though, I know that one drink will play havoc with my mind, and I’ll be convinced I can have one drink a day and no more. You know the rest. You’ve found life’s easier without drink so take the easy option and don’t bother.
Thanks for the update, inspiring stuff!

Twenty-three months is amazing! Well done. I hope you're reaping the benefits.
Indeed, I am certain that I will be tempted, like you were, but I know what the result will be. I am very, very fortunate that lockdown has meant all the pubs are closed, so it's really helped!

I reckon I’d have fared terribly in lockdown with my old drinking ways. The supermarkets are stacked high with booze, and I’m sad to say there will be a lot of new alcoholics as a result.
But for now, Auchie, the likes of you and I have our heads screwed on. I’m sure you’ve done some cool non-drinking stuff during the last year as I have. Drinking now would spoil all that. Keep on posting the positive stuff!
