Nearly 4 months into recovery here, feels like solid time with a good sponsor and aa involved, attending meetings and building a good foundation
I've got this, 11 months into a new relationship, bought a house that I'm moving into this week and my 13 year old daughter is doing well at a new school. Also at university studying my chartered manager degree apprenticeship and pushing forward career wise
Listing this stuff to document the reasons to be grateful, that I can be present with this stuff, alcohol has NO place in my life as I'd not have any of the above with that still lurking around
The higher power as you understand it has carefully selected each of us, and positioned us in such a way, that we do the best with the hand we're dealt
This is my hand, it's a good one, it's one to be proud of and to give my all to
So screw alcohol, the poison that keeps us trapped, limited, restricted, miserable. A life beyond our wildest dreams awaits in recovery, its here now, today
