I'm on day 2 again. Shooting for a week as it just seems more obtainable right now that life. Or just today. I can't deal with the depression of killing myself that way any more. Anybody else this early into this?

I've been on day 2 countless times.
It is one day at a time for all of us here. I don't think about tomorrow. Tomorrow is a future I don't know anything about.
Before you know it you will have more than 2 days and it will feel amazing. Stay close and keep posting. CONGRATS on 2 days! Its rough in the beginning.

In these early days the alcohol is still messing with your ‘chemistry’
I got so depressed from alcohol.
The good news is that after 7-10 days of abstinence, we start feeling more balanced and healthy.
Best to you 007.
You don’t have to suffer through another hangover if you choose.

The one day at a time philosophy is only required for the early weeks. When I first quit, I got quite depressed thinking I’d feel like that come beer o’clock every evening for life, but if you start a new activity to replace the time you were spending drinking, you soon feel way better.
Stick with it. Accept you’ve had your last ever drink and remember that even one tiny drink now resets all urges and good work to day zero. Eat chocolate or ice cream. Both are disgusting and unhealthy, but they’re not addictive and will divert your mind away from cravings.

I'm working on that. I have started to play guitar with a friend who is also not drinking so that could be good. I'm going to exercise as much as possible...go to work cycling..go running...drink as much green juice as I can. I'll try to stay occupied in the evenings and try and sleep better. I will talk to a counselor too when I get my finances sorted.
