try cinnamon whipped cream, little bit of vanilla extract in it too
not for mince pies but peanut butter whipped cream is great

I am also planning Xmas menu at the moment...so much booze in everything,
I am really trying to make a solid plan as have have fallen Off the wagon over Xmas a few times...not this year though, going to be over prepared if anything.

I like "over prepared".
It has never let me down.....there are tons of peeps on here who are very cheffy.....you guys should start a how to do christmas without booze recipes thread....bet you get TONS of posts.

Dee74, if you haven't experienced a mince pie (think heavy fruityness in pastry) you need to try them! Usually laced with brandy or other liquors though so work needed on that one...

Day 6 ending
Well, I made it thru another day without alcohol. Sunday football, my beloved KC Chief payed and won it might say. Not one drink. Good food though. I had a couple of cravings but did not give in. I have been lucky with the cravings, not many, I know that they will come on with force soon......I want to be dependence free! I want to live. I know that alcohol will kill me if I continue to drink.

I am kind of freaking out. I just looked at my blood test results from a week ago. I have high cholesterol and high levels of liver enzymes...The high level of liver enzymes is what is freaking me out. I can not ever drink again. I have been binge drinking for years. I was high functioning. I could drink then get up and go to work. I drank out of boredom & self medicating. Slowly killing myself.

Day 4 here. Another gorgeous day outside. Strangely, have slept well for first three days. Probably has something to do with that I had only a one day relapse after the previous seven days of abstinence. Happy to wake up sober!
