Some thoughts

Went on an online aa meet before and enjoying some shares when out of the blue, a guy came on who was in a bad way, drunk and crying, pleading for help. The meeting organisers and members just wrapped around this guy instantly, set up a breakout room for him with a couple of people in it and talked to him with real empathy and consideration for the situation. Telling him he was in the best place and that people cared about him. It was just fantastic to see

I learned from him, I have so much in common with his situation, as any true alcoholic knows, we've all been where he is!

The beauty of this thing we share called recovery is the fragility of knowing we are all one drink away from oblivion, yet together, strong enough to never take it!!

It is a truly beautiful thing - the way alcoholics (in various stages of recovery) come together to help each other.

Yeah, Stewy, it's so good to know that others really understand what we're going through.

I'm glad you're doing well.

Together we are strong, like a rope made of delicate fibers, yet strong when woven together.

Uplifting post, Stewy. Thank you for that.

Good to hear that he was well taken care of. Glad he was seeking help at AA where people truly understand :).
