6 days ;)

Yeah! I made it past day 5 lol. I'm still emotional, but i think that is magnified by 3 hours sleep and not feeling all that well. But i feel great about 2marrow being my first week, i don't want to drink, i don't want to do day 1 thru 3 again. Can only get better from here!

Hold these thoughts close to your heart. It does get better, but you must stay on the path.

I found the not sleeping the worst. As soon as you sleep a bit more soundly you'll feel sooooo much better!!

Big tip here is to avoid that little “reward” after a few days. It’s not like a diet where a little square of chocolate is fine after a week. Your body’s already getting used to being without alcohol - I bet it’s not happy about it at all - and any little drink will reset everything to day one.

No way to sell this one nicely, but withdrawal is hard and unpleasant. You need an activity to replace the drinking. If you previously chilled out in front on the TV for an hour with a beer, for example, don’t watch TV. Do something else to occupy your mind such as reading, go for a walk, take up painting, the more unusual the better.

The real rewards come in a few weeks when you’re out of the habit and noticeably feel the cravings are less. Just avoid those “rewards” and you’ll get there. Have that mindset that youve had your last ever drink. Good luck and hang on in there.
