Sobriety effecting my relationship - here for support
I am 77 days sober from alcohol. I have been experiencing a roller coaster of emotions as I finally learn to navigate life without alcohol. The past two weeks, however, have shown to be difficult with my relationship due to this emotional roller coaster and his concern for him to keep drinking. So here I am. I am realizing that this journey can't be alone and that I need support from others navigating relationships and life sober.
Welcome to the family. I'm not sure I understand your situation. You are almost 3 months sober but your partner (?) still drinks? We have lots of different forums for different issues and perspectives.
The roller coaster of emotions is quite common. There's an adage about recovery that the good thing about sobriety is that you get your feelings back. But the bad thing about sobriety is that you get your feelings back. One way I've found to strengthen my sobriety is to practice gratitude every day. We even have a forum specifically for gratitude.
Congrats on 77 days sober! I hope our support can help you stay sober for good.
