Today is 118 days off the booze/pot. Last time, I drank on day 118. Tomorrow will mark the longest that I’ve gone without a drink since my first drink. When I drank on day 118 last time, I was doing it on my own with my own willpower. This time I’m posting on SR, working a program in AA, and seeing a counselor. If I were to say “F it, I can have a couple drinks” I’d have to face a lot of disappointed people. I may drink again but it won’t be today. See y’all on day 119 tomorrow. Thank you for the support!

Doing it on willpower alone never worked for me either. Great you have picked up support, it really does help.

I think it would be you, rather than others who would be disappointed if you picked up. At least that's how it panned out for me.

Keep going gently, it gets a whole lot better.
