Thanks, y’all! My home group has been having a rough time lately. One of our old timers with 36 years of sobriety committed suicide last week. I’m having so many emotions, but feeling better each day. I just have to remind myself that it’s not up to me who lives or who dies.

Jensen, I also know an old friend who committed suicide. Extremely tough to deal with because I spoke to him the day before and tried to talk him down.

i won't go into the details, but just say why he did it while I couldn't help him. I was away. Completely different cities, thousands of kilometers away.

He was a dentist and got diagnosed with a disease that affected his hands. He spent his whole life studying pretty much and lost everything he was trained for.

We can all get through this!

Welcome Jenfen. So sorry for the loss of your friend. Nobody really knows what is going on in another person's head. A grim reminder of that. I'm glad you are here with us.
