Kaily, you could complain to the council (environmental health) They do don't tell the noismakers who made the complaint. With the added Covid rule breaking they ought to act on it.

Thanks Sao, I know I could but I live in a very quiet (usually) cul de sac, so it would be pretty obvious who reported them. Maybe I should just have a word nicely, or maybe winter will put a stop to it. Although it was pretty cold last night at 3am!

In actual fact I did report them once, about 10 years ago. A party was getting way out of hand and someone came round and shut it down. I was braver and less tolerant when I was drinking.

Morning Weekenders

Kaily, how did your neighbours react when you reported them before. I’m sure they guess it may happen that they’re reported if they’re taking the risk. Yeah, this weather won’t be too good for garden parties. It’ll soon be too cold.

The birds are busy feeding on the tree. One bird had his feathers all puffed out, he looked like a little puffball. He was too quick for me to take a photo.

Morning weekend sobhoes. How is everyone. Binged on cookies last night so diet isn't going well. Oh well, fresh start today. Just back from a 4km run/walk. Going to head for a 6km walk at 10am to make up 10km. My goal is 10km a day.

Looking forward to college tomorrow. Hope we start getting stuck into the course so I can start studying. Was mostly just introductory stuff last week. Meeting my possible thesis supervisor in the lab on wednesday so hoping she agrees to supervise me and I can get started on my project.

That’s great Freedom, how exciting it’s all starting, you’ve been looking forward to college so long, I’m glad it’s all happening

I didn’t have a sugar-free Sunday myself. I have several sweets and chocolates. Oh well, better than drinking!

While it’s getting cooler in the Northern hemisphere, it’s rapidly heating up here! It’s technically only spring, but summer has arrived in the north east of Australia already. The last few days have been hot. Well probably not all that hot compared to what’s yet to come, but after the mild weather over winter, 31C and high humidity has hit me like a hot heavy wet blanket lol.
It’s 6pm now and a breeze is just starting to cool things down thankfully

We never get up to 31C in Ireland even in the summer. I don't know how you can stick the heat!

I guess it’s what you get used to. Although I just put the aircon on tonight to sleep, it’s getting too hot at night to sleep. In summer it’s often 25-28C at night. It’s not that hot tonight, I think it’s about 22 or so, but it’s muggy and not very nice for sleep, so I turned it on. I sleep better when it’s cooler.

31c is far too hot for me! I don't mind the temperatures in summer being in the high 20s but anything beyond that is a bit too high for me.

Not a fan of heat and humidity, either. We call it the 3 H's-- Hazy, Hot, and Humid.

Always lovely to wake up refreshed and without regret, guilt, or a hangover. Glad to be here, working on my sobriety with all of you.

The Midwest, East Coast and the South in the U.S. are so humid. I do not miss that over here in the PNW.

Sunday, my favorite. The rains are here and the river is flying. So much for which to be grateful. My red down comforter wrapped around me. The electric coffee-keeper-warmer thingy I set my cup on. My little kitty with the zoomies. Food. A soft light. Sunday morning is just about the most wonderful thing there is when you're sober.

I have just had a carbathon. I don't eat bread anymore but today I bought myself a french stick and had that with cheese and pickle for dinner. Followed by chocolate cake!

Had to be done, my jeans were too loose.

*sigh*

I can't eat for two more hours.

It's okay to read about carby fatty deliciousness, though, right?

I have Brie and bread on my grocery list for tomorrow. I put it on the list yesterday.

A friend of mine got a new family puppy, which I thought looked somewhat like Alfie. They described it as a toddler on speed.

Oh a Jack Russell terrier pup... Wish them luck

Super cute though.
Alfie was an absolute monster for the first few years of his life, a proper terrorist.

Morning weekenders,

Thanks Mags for the thread - I managed to create a pretty good place in my head for the weekend so thank you for the thought.

Little news from here. I spent the weekend working, walking in the sunshine, drinking coffee and eating cake, pretty much in that order. I was working too hard last week though and found myself distracted from my normal healthy diet. With far too much sugar my mood declined noticeably and I'll have to watch this as I don't want the AV to sneak in...

Had better get going - it's Monday morning after all! Warm wishes to all. Forwards.
